From the Director

It seems like New Years was just yesterday yet the year 2005 is already 1/12 history.  Time really goes by quickly when I’m having fun or real busy. And if you are like me, this is when I am most prone to forget to respond those good intentions, great ideas, or things I have been meaning to do; like to put up a new clothes line, write the February Newsletter, and write some letters.  One other thing it’s easy to do when time moves so quick is to remember those for whom time moves soo verry sloow; like those in prison, or the families of our men and women in Iraq, or any of those precious children anywhere in the world, who are waiting for a permanent family.  We must not forget these children.

This brief newsletter offers several reminders of things anyone can do to help FASI make the will of God for every child to have a permanent family a reality. We will be looking for you.

Thank You for all you do,

Bill Barling

Again, it’s time to say  good by to a special friend.

Since November those of us in the FASI office have had the pleasure of the gift of the presence of a special person Melanie Reinhardt an educational intern from Canada, and now it’s time for her to move on to the next step in her professional career and personal journey.  In her own unique way she has given so much to all the people with whom she worked. Ever ready to do what she can to complete the task, and always respectful of others in her kind and gentle manner she gave so much, and gave those who were available the blessing of sharing a good hearted laugh, and insightful question, and the dependability of friendship.

If you would like to keep in touch with Melanie her e-mail address is: melcdnbacon@yahoo.com
